Job Role: Van Mechanic / Vehicle Technician

Working hours / days: 08:00 - 17:00 Monday - Friday
Hourly rate: £20.67 per hour + overtime paid at time and a half
Job description:
Are you an experienced Van Mechanic / Vehicle Technician? My client is a well-established workshop facility that specialises in commercial vehicle maintenance.
At this time, they have an opening for an Van Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join them to work on a Monday – Friday DAY SHIFT.
You will be responsible for the ongoing inspection, service, maintenance and repair on a wide range of vans operated by my client and their customers.
A significant part of this role will be preparing the vehicles presented to you for their MOT inspections.
Daily duties:
- Maintain all Vans and equipment to company/legal standards to ensure maximum operational availability for the Transport Department
- Ensure that the care and condition of all Company equipment is maintained and report all defects/damages
- Maintain a recording monitoring system to comply with legal and company requirements
- Promote safe working practices and ensure that site Health & Safety standards comply with Company Policy
Working Hours / Rates:
This role is available on a straight Monday – Friday Late / Night Shift
08:00 - 17:00 with an hour lunch break
Basic hourly rate of £20.67 per hour with overtime available paid at time and a half.
What we need from you:
- Completed a full Mechanics apprenticeship
- Your own tools
- Full UK driving license
- Previous experience in reversing and moving vehicles into the workshop is desirable but training will be given
