Salary: M1 to M6 (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2024 (or sooner if available)

We are looking for an inspiring Food Technology Teacher to join the Design and Technology department at a Southampton secondary school. You will:

• Teach Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that develop students' practical and theoretical skills.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
• Ensure a safe and well-managed learning environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to school-wide initiatives.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant subject.
• Be passionate about Food Technology and inspiring students to succeed.
• Have excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
