We currently have an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dedicated and skilled Lecturer in Plumbing. The ideal candidate will have a back ground plumbing, heating and ventilation, preferably commercial but domestic will also be considered.

Duties:

  • Teach on courses and work to develop an outstanding provision that has a positive impact on the learner and assessment process.
  • To assist in the development of teaching and learning materials, preparing schemes of work, lesson plans and maintaining records to monitor learner progression, achievement and attendance.
  • Provide appropriate and relevant guidance for learners enabling them to develop knowledge, understanding and skills.
  • To develop and implement timely, safe, consistent and relevant assessment plans and resources that are linked to initial and current assessments.

Skills/Experience:

  • Utilising your wealth of technical skills and experience to teach students on programmes at level 1, 2 and 3 through theory and practical knowledge.
  • Teaching/tutoring/mentoring experience with apprentices, part time or full time learners.
  • A passion for imparting knowledge and skills to create better futures for our students.
  • Well organised with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft IT packages.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English & Maths or equivalent.
  • Relevant degree and/or appropriate level professional qualifications.
  • Level 3 qualification in relevant area of expertise.
  • Commitment to achieving teaching qualifications.
  • Assessor and Moderator/IQA Award is desirable.
