Our client, a key player in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a Warehouse Operative to join their dedicated team. This is a contract role, focusing on the receiving, processing, and dispatching of metal in various shapes and sizes within a vibrant and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Receiving, processing, and dispatching metal products
- Ensuring stock is stored safely and logically
- Utilising all provided safety equipment and PPE according to health and safety procedures
- Operating hardware and software tools, including IT equipment and scanning devices
- Maintaining high standards of work practice with a focus on safety
- Achieving high productivity levels as set by Team Leaders and management
- Conducting picking, packing, and deburring tasks
- Meeting and, where possible, exceeding daily targets
- Promoting excellent communication with team members and management
- Ensuring the safety of oneself and others by adhering to safety protocols
- Experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment
- Metal experience (Aluminium, Titanium, Inconel, and Stainless) is desirable but not essential
- Experience with Sideloader and Counterbalance forklifts is desirable
- Flexibility and a positive attitude
- Strong team player skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
- Good time management and customer service skills
- Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Hours of work, rotating shifts of 06:00 - 14:00 & 11:00 - 19:00
