Key Responsibilities:

  • Running and overseeing mechanical fitting jobs on various marine projects
  • Providing hands-on support in ship repair and maintenance tasks
  • Supporting a team of fitters to ensure work is completed efficiently and to high standards
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in a mechanical fitting role within the marine industry
  • Previous chargehand experience, particularly in ship repair
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
