Infinity Employment is seeking an experienced TIG Welder for a permanent position in Southampton, working Monday to Friday. The role involves operating machinery, welding, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring high-quality output. Candidates must have a minimum Level 2 NVQ/Indentured Apprenticeship or equivalent, along with previous experience in metal sheet fabrication. The salary ranges from £34,500 to £38,000 for a 38.5-hour workweek, with additional overtime potential of up to £3,500 per annum. Infinity Employmentare looking for an experienced TIG Welder for a permanent Monday - Friday position for ourEngineeringspecialist client based in Southampton.

Welder Duties Include:

Setting up and operating a range of tooling and machinery
Using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn and weld pieces; setting up and measuring assemblies; selecting appropriate method of working
Complete work documents and records
Maintain a safe working environment, follow H&S procedures and comply with legal regulations
Ensure work equipment is used appropriately by following operating instructions; troubleshoot breakdowns; perform preventative maintenance
Meet quality targets and maintain high quality standards
Working individually or as a part of a team

Welder Qualifications/Experience:

Minimum Level 2 NVQ/Indentured Apprenticeship or equivalent
Previous experience in a similar role with metal sheet fabrication
Good numeracy skills
Essential - must be able to read and interpret drawings
Capable of working on own initiative

TIG Welder Salary

Basic - £34,500 - £38,000. 38.5 hr week.

8am - 16.30 Mon - Thurs

8am - 15.00 Friday

21 days holiday plus bank holidays

Overtime - up to £3,500 pa
