OVERVIEW: FABRICATION INSTRUCTOR
We are currently seeking a Fabrication professional to deliver and coordinate the successful completion of Fabrication & sheet metal work qualifications, for a well-established training provider.
The instructor role will require you to be involved in teaching, coaching and mentoring young learners undertaking fabrication and sheet metal work qualifications. You will be a time served Fabricator / Sheet Metal Worker, and hold a level 3 or above qualification in a Welding & Fabrication / Engineering discipline.
Ideally you will have experience delivering training and will possess either an Assessor's Award or a teaching qualification (PTLLS or above). If you do not hold these qualifications but have a genuine desire to move into a training role, enjoy working in a learning environment and are a time served fabricator, my client would like to hear from you. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
This role is a fixed term contract for 3-6 months, could be long term for the right candidate.
THE ROLE OF WELDING INSTRUCTOR:
To deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of engineering qualifications delivered at a high-tech training facility. Training learners in the centre towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: WELDING INSTRUCTOR
- Minimum 5 years' relevant occupational experience as a time served fabricator
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Experience of working with young people
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: WELDING INSTRUCTOR
- Level 3 (or above) engineering qualification
- Assessor Qualification- A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent (desirable)
- Teaching qualification (desirable)
- This position is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance
