Your new companyHays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be partnered with a growing Social Housing Organisation based in Southend who are looking for an individual to join their team and focus on Treasury and Finance Administration with a bit of Analysis duties. This role has come about due to one of their members going on maternity leave in May 2025.Your new role Monday to Wednesday - Very admin focused, mainly processing info, putting into BRIXX software to help with forecasting/budgeting. Thursday to Friday - Ad hoc duties, analysis of data and any other admin work to be completed, downloading and analysing reports, assisting the Senior Treasury Manager.Responsibilities include:Treasury/Management of Loans

  • Assisting the Senior Treasury Manager to assess requirements for loan finance
  • Assisting with day-to-day operations relating to loan finance, including making interest payments and capital repayments
  • Maintaining accurate records with regard to the Association's properties and loan funding
  • Production of calculations for the annual review of loan covenant compliance certificates
  • Attendance at meetings with the Association's lenders, including liaising with operational team members at each lender
  • Providing information to lenders as they may reasonably request and which has been agreed by the Assistant Director of Finance
  • Assisting the Development & Treasury Officer to maintain a consolidated cash flow forecast for the Association
  • Providing cover for any other duties performed by the Development & Treasury Officer during periods of leave

Financial Planning

  • Inputting into the Brixx model of the Long-Term Financial Plan
  • Assisting with financial analysis of new business opportunities

Internal Reporting

  • Preparing quarterly Treasury KPI calculations
  • Assisting with production of some sections of the Long-Term Financial Plan paper for ARC and Board meetings, for initial review by the Senior Treasury Manager
  • Assist the Financial Controller and Financial Reporting Manager in the preparation of the annual Financial Statements for the Association providing such schedules and analyses as are requested

Regulatory Returns

  • Inputting into the quarterly NROSH submission to the Regulator
  • Inputting into the annual FFR submission to the Regulator

Policy

  • Assisting with the Treasury Management Policy and Investment Policy being regularly reviewed and updated in line with agreed cycles

Other

  • Produce any other reports or financial analysis that may be required
  • Give assistance in other areas when requested by the Assistant Director of Finance or a member of the Senior Leadership Team
  • Any other duties that may reasonably be expected within the terms of the appointment

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience within The Social Housing sector or similar
  • 3+ Years of Accounting exp
  • Knowledge of Tax/Treasury
  • Experience with BRIXX software (Not a prerequisite)
  • Ideally PQ (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or QBE (Qualified by experience)
