We are on the lookout for a meticulous and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be someone who excels in financial processes and demonstrates a professional approach to handling queries. Prior experience in insurance is beneficial but not a prerequisite for this role.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Conduct cash matching and allocation to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Prepare precise statements for third-party accounts, ensuring all data is up-to-date.
  • Diligently chase outstanding payments, requesting detailed breakdowns for un-reconciled receipts and allocating entries upon receipt.
  • Organise payment runs for clients and underwriters, obtaining approval from Directors.
  • Generate fortnightly credit control reports to keep track of account statuses.
  • Respond to queries from banks and clients promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain orderly filing of all relevant documentation, including bank statements, remittance advices, and correspondence.
  • Perform general office duties, such as answering calls, scanning, and filing, to support the smooth operation of the office.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Solid experience in managing financial documentation and credit control processes.
