We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Assistant to join a thriving business. This full-time, on-site role offers a variety of bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities, including Cash Book Reconciliations, and managing the Purchase Ledger & Sales Ledger. You will work closely with the Head of Finance and play a crucial role within the team.
Day-to-day of the role:- Maintain company ledgers.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Take full responsibility for the Purchase Ledger.
- Post Sales Ledger Invoices and conduct weekly reporting.
- Handle sales ledger reporting.
- Manage company expenses & credit card transactions.
- Carry out other Ad-Hoc duties as required.
- Self-motivated, organised, and hardworking with excellent time management skills.
- A strong team player who can meet deadlines; good Excel skills are advantageous.
- Enthusiastic and willing to learn, with a desire to take ownership of tasks.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) & Accounting Software.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
- AAT PQ or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping (Essential).
- Experience with Sage (preferred).
