Property Compliance & Inspections Officer
Essex Based
Monday - Friday 9am-5.30pm
Summary:
The Property Compliance & Inspections Officer will be responsible for conducting property inspectionsacross the portfolio to identify maintenance requirements, Health & Safety (H&S) compliance issues, ensure compliance with council license conditions, and other regulatory obligations.
The role provides essential support to the Works and Compliance Manager in ensuring that all properties meet the necessary legal and safety standards.
Main duties:
- Inspecting reported maintenance issues and providing feedback and schedules of work to themaintenance team to enable them to instruct suitable contractors and issue works orders.
- Carry out periodic inspections to assess the ongoing condition of properties and flag anyissues.
- Carry out council licence compliance checks to ensure properties comply with licencingrequirements. Escalating any issues appropriately.
- Producing site survey reports for void rental units, recording internal and external conditionsand identifying works required for re-let.
Experience required:
- Experience in the lettings or property maintenance industry
- Knowledge of property maintenance, H&S regulations, and council licensing requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
