Our client an established organisation based in Southend is looking to recruit an Accounts Receivable Administrator to join their Accounts team on a permanent basis.

Duties involved for the Accounts Receivable Administrator role:-

  • Post cash daily accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure bank reconciliations are carried out and are kept up to date at all times
  • All unreconciled cashbook items are reviewed and dealt with promptly (within 5 days)
  • Ensure all unidentified cash receipts are dealt with in accordance with RICS requirements
  • Daily internal transfers
  • Month-end and client reporting processes as and when required
  • Daily post to be actioned (cheque/remittances)
  • Daily Banking (taking cash/cheques to branch)
  • Bank Interest (monthly)
  • Review and clear cashiers and transfers inboxes

Essential requirements for this role:

  • Confident, enthusiastic and flexible approach.
  • Attention to detail, high level of accuracy and numeracy.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under their own initiative.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and pro-active with a mature attitude.
  • Takes ownership of responsibilities and drives positive change.
  • Team player with experience in delivering to deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Word, including v-lookups and pivot tables is desirable.
  • Previous experience in Accounts is a distinct advantage.

The ideal candidate for this role will be currently studying for their AAT and a strong desire to work in the Accounts field. GCSE grades C or above in Maths and English (or the equivalent) is essential.
