Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and reliable Groundworker to join our team on a self-employed basis. The ideal person will have experience in all aspects of groundworks, including but not limited to:
- Site preparation and clearance
- Excavation and trenching
- Laying foundations and concrete work
- Installing drainage systems
- Paving and landscaping
- Operating machinery and tools safely and efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform groundworks tasks as directed by the site manager
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within project timelines
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Groundworker in the construction industry
- Knowledge of groundworks techniques and best practices
- Ability to read and interpret site plans and drawings
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour
- Own tools and transport
