An aerospace manufacturing and MRO business require a Commercial Manager. Applicants need experience in commercial management, contract management, customer account management or procurement within an aerospace manufacturing, MRO or aviation setting.
The Commercial Manager will be responsible for leading commercial activity, both upstream with customers and downstream to supplier and supply chain partners. Managing both procurement and commercial resources, the Commercial Manager will help drive growth, deliver excellent customer service and offer a robust contract management (supplier and customer) offering to the business.
Specific duties of the Commercial Manager include:
- Lead all procurement and contracting activities for the business, including contract negotiations and developing relationships with suppliers and customers
- Supply market intelligence and commercial insights generation around; pricing, competitors and opportunities
- Develop procurement and commercial procedures, processes, SOPs, KPIS etc.
- Support Sales and Business Development activities, and liaise directly with customers
- Monitor and analyse performance of customer accounts
- Develop procurement and inventory management strategies, ensuring optimal levels of stock are held
- Supplier selection, negotiation and post-signature supplier relationship management
- Manage procurement and commercial teams
Commercial Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Expertise as a; Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager, Customer Account Manager, Procurement Manager or Supply Chain Manager
- Experience within; aviation, aerospace manufacturing or aircraft MRO industries
- Demonstrable experience of supporting BD, bids, customer success or work winning activities
- Knowledge of the aerospace MRO and manufacturing supplier landscape
- Leadership skills, influencing and gravitas
