CNC SETTER

Southend-On-Sea, Essex

Permanent position / Full time - 6:45am - 4:30pm Mon - Thurs

We are working with an established Engineering company who are looking to grow their team internally with new contracts and workload increase and require an experienced CNC Setter.

Job Role:

CNC Setter opportunities with this large established precision engineering company producing bespoke aerospace and high-end automotive parts.

  • Set up production machines to meet customer orders.
  • Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, material specifications, drawings, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting dimensions and tolerances.
  • Installs and sets tools, attachments, boring bars , turn tools, and stops.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufactures instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs Completes production and quality records.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area Skills and Knowledge.
  • Basic editing /Basic maths will be required in order to do this job daily.
  • Blueprint reading.
  • Utilize various measuring gages.
  • Attention to detail and communication skills, oral and written.

Person specification:

  • Must be able to read technical drawings.

  • Able to commute within or to Southend-On-Sea.
  • CNC setting experience is a must! (min. 2 years experienced required).

  • Experience of working in the Automotive / Aerospace or Defence Industries is desirable.
