Join our team as a CNC Setter Operator specialising in Gear Cutting, and contribute to the manufacturing of small-batch aerospace components. This role is perfect for a meticulous professional who thrives in a high-precision engineering environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Set and operate CNC and Manual Gear Cutting Machine Tools to produce small-batch components from engineering drawings within tight tolerances.
- Ensure all components are manufactured within agreed timescales and according to the manufacturing plan.
- Maintain the required quality standard for all manufactured components.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s requirements for maintaining material traceability.
- Use a wide range of measuring equipment to check components after manufacture.
- Ensure products are suitably protected at all times, including for transit.
- Accurately complete all manufacturing paperwork.
- Mentor new staff as required.
- Carry out tasks allocated by the Supervisor efficiently and timely.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
- Support team members with other tasks as needed.
- Help create and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to Health & Safety procedures.
- Perform other reasonable and relevant tasks as required.
- Proven experience in setting and operating CNC and Manual Gear Cutting Machines.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacture to tight tolerances.
- Familiarity with various measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to mentor and support new team members.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
