Job Opportunity in the steel industry!

Position: Tekla Detailer, permanent

Location: Southend-on-sea, on-site

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000

As a Tekla Detailer, you will play a critical role in the design and detailing of a wide range of steelwork projects, from staircases and small building extensions to industrial warehouse frames. This well-established company specialises in the design, fabrication, and supply of high-quality structural and architectural steelwork. Offering end-to-end services from initial design to on-site erection, they are committed to delivering tailored steelwork solutions that meet client needs.

• Creating detailed GA, assembly, fabrication, and part drawings for various steelwork projects.
• Conducting site surveys to gather accurate measurements and project requirements.
• Communicating with clients, architects, and project engineers to ensure cost-effective and practical solutions.
• Ensuring compliance with UK-CA, BS EN 1090, and ISO 9001 standards.
• Collaborating with the design team to deliver high-quality drawings within deadlines.

• Portal frame steel buildings
• Staircases
• Support frameworks
• Small builds and extension steelwork
• Architectural steelwork

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the steel industry, working with Tekla Structures.
• Strong expertise in developing GA and fabrication details from architectural and engineering drawings, as well as site measurements.
• Proven ability to work independently and liaise effectively with management, clients, engineers, and site teams.
• A thorough understanding of structural and architectural steelwork.
