The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Registered Manager in leading a team of care professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the home operates smoothly and in compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Registered Manager in overseeing daily operations of the home.

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of residential care workers.

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care that meets the individual needs of each child.

  • Promote a positive and therapeutic environment that fosters emotional well-being and development.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of care plans.

  • Manage staff rotas, training, and performance appraisals.

  • Handle safeguarding concerns effectively and report appropriately.

  • Engage with external professionals such as social workers, therapists, and educators.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Level 3 or 4 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent (essential).

  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a children's residential care setting.

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and Ofsted regulations.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • A passion for working with vulnerable children and young people.

  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively.

  • A full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
