Position Type: Full-Time
Salary:14.61 per hour
Overall Purpose: To electrically and mechanically assemble Galley products and electrical sub-assemblies.
Responsibilities:
Read wiring diagrams, cut wires, solder, crimp, and assemble accordingly
Test products to meet customer and company requirements
Fault find and repair products
Assemble major and minor mechanical assemblies
Perform riveting of assemblies and electrical sub-assemblies
Strip down and repair customer-returned products
Read engineering drawings and assemble products to quality standards
Maintain a high standard of housekeeping
Support team members with various tasks
Adhere to Health and Safety procedures
Qualifications:
Essential: GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) at grade C or above
Desirable: Apprenticeship served
Experience/Skills:
- Essential:
- Assembly experience
- Ability to use hand tools, including rivet pliers/gun
- Experience in electrical assemblies
- Ability to read engineering and wiring diagrams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Desirable:
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Excellent planning and organization skills
- High awareness of productivity and quality
- Excellent communication skills
