About the RoleAntony James Recruitment Ltd are delighted to have partnered with a growing commercial client based in Southend, Essex in recruiting a dynamic and commercially minded Finance Business Partner.As a Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing critical financial insights, analysis, and strategic support to drive business growth. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of remote working, with occasional on-site visits to our Southend office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders to provide financial and strategic guidance to support decision-making and achieve company objectives.
  • Deliver detailed financial analysis, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, to support strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and present insightful management reports, ensuring stakeholders are equipped with actionable data.
  • Drive performance management through the analysis of KPIs, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for your allocated business units.
  • Support cost management initiatives by identifying areas for efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to assess the financial impact of business decisions and investment opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and corporate governance standards.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Professional Qualification: Fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA is essential.
  • Proven experience in a finance business partnering role or similar, preferably within a commercial environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI or similar tools is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in preparing budgets, forecasts, and management accounts.
