Are you an experienced professional in homelessness or supported housing, ready to make an impact? A leading charity in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Coordinator to oversee key projects, support residents, and lead a team in providing tailored, person-centered support to individuals in need.

Benefits:

  • Hours: 37 hours some out of hours and weekends via rota

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of staff, volunteers, and peer mentors within supported housing.
  • Ensure properties are well-maintained, safe, and at maximum occupancy.
  • Support residents in retaining housing, preventing evictions, and transitioning to independent living.
  • Oversee housing management, maintain occupancy levels, and enforce tenancy conditions.
  • Foster relationships with external organisations to support residents’ welfare and housing goals.
  • Monitor and update resident files, risk assessments, and performance targets.
  • Manage budgets, service charge collections, and housing benefits applications.
  • Provide evening and weekend cover as needed, ensuring continuity of support.

About You:

We’re looking for someone with substantial experience in the homelessness or supported housing sector, excellent conflict resolution and leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. You’ll be approachable, confident in decision-making, and adept at building positive relationships with both residents and external partners.
