Are you a Level 2 qualified NDT Technician looking for a new role within a market leading business that offer a generous remuneration package and progression opportunities?

This company are the largest FBO within the UK and these two sites help with their maintenance, repairs and overhaul services and their precision engineering site for a range of projects. With multiple avenues of business, this company has grown over multiple sites allowing them to take on a continuously developing number of clients.

This role will see the successful candidate completing non-destructive fluid penetrant and magnetic particle tests to identify quality issues with machined components and materials. The successful candidate will display exceptional written and verbal communication skills to provide accurate progress updated and accurately update documentation.

The Role:

  • Oversee daily operations in the NDT inspection area ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
  • Set up NDT equipment and conduct in-service control checks to ensure operational readiness
  • Carry out NDT inspections on newly manufactured and in-service components across a variety of products, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
  • Strictly follow all relevant regulatory agency, customer and company policies, procedures and processes during inspections
  • Execute tasks professionally with a strong emphasis on the safety of both products and personnel
  • Interpret and evaluate inspection results against established customer specifications, procedures and codes
  • Develop and document inspection techniques that meet customer requirements and adhere to relevant codes
  • Maintain accurate technical records of NDT inspections and related activities, including references to the technical data used
  • Train and mentor Level 1 trainees under the supervision of the responsible level 3 technician, promoting a culture of professionalism and precision

The Person:

  • Must hold a EN4179 certification
  • Level 2 in Magnetic Particle and Fluid Penetrant Inspection methods
  • Basic understanding of EASA, CAA and FAA requirements advantageous
