MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE IS NOT ESSENTIAL - CANDIDATES LOOKING TO PROGRESS TO MANAGEMENT WILL BE CONSIDERED

You have the opportunity to join a well established Steel Stockholder in Shoeburyness.

This business is part of a global group that is undergoing a period of huge investment. You will work on a newly refurbished site and will be an essential member of the business.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest quality standards across our operations and driving continuous improvement within the business.

Previous experience in ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 is essential, however candidates without management experience who are looking to 'step up' will be considered.

Role and responsibilities:

•Responsible for the QA department (2-3 direct reports)

•Responsible for the effective implementation of existing ISO9001 QMS including internal auditing, procedure issue & review, management review, supplier management.

•Analysis of performance and quality data to identify trends, under performance, risk, and opportunities in line with organizational KPIs

•Be the customer contact for quality assurance related enquiries and issues.

•Responsible for QA department activities including processing, archiving and dispatch of QA documents to customers

• Promote a quality and continuous improvement culture within the business in conjunction with Group Quality Manager.

•Work with Group Quality Manager to improve existing QMS.

•Along with Group Quality Manager, ensure external audits are carried out successfully (ISO, EN1090 & Customer).

•Responsible for ISO 9001 accreditation.

•Liaise with suppliers to ensure all quality documentation is received on time and non-conformances are resolved.

•Ensure Non-conformances/customer complaints are followed up and preventative actions implemented

Work closely with the purchasing, goods in and stock control to ensure deliveries are booked in and processed correctly to ensure traceability and supplier performance.

•Assist with annual stock take in conjunction with other members of SMT.

•Assist with any other company projects as required
