We are delighted to be working with a well-established insurance brokerage firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Broker to join our team in Southend-on-Sea. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional with expertise in the construction industry to play a pivotal role in growing our commercial book of business.
You would be focused on the renewals team, helping continue the highest level of service for existing clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new business opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns and proactive marketing.
- Develop relationships with prospects and new clients through phone calls, video calls, and in-person meetings.
- Handle the renewals for a profitable portfolio of commercial clients, with a focus on the construction sector
- Conduct comprehensive risk analysis and provide tailored insurance solutions to mitigate risks
- Negotiate terms and premiums with underwriters to secure optimal coverage for clients
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor
- Stay current with industry regulations, market trends, and product developments
- Achieve and surpass new business and revenue targets
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with in commercial insurance broking - any experience with construction policies would be a huge advantage.
- Thorough understanding of construction risks, contractual requirements, and risk management strategies
- Strong technical expertise in policy wordings, endorsements, and claims handling
- Exceptional client-facing skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex information
- Proficiency in using insurance management systems, preferably Acturis
- Commitment to delivering outstanding client service and achieving growth targets
