Duties
- Meet with clients to discuss their legal needs and provide advice on family law matters.
- Handle a caseload of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and financial settlements.
- Conduct thorough research on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents to support case preparation.
- Draft, review, and file legal documents such as petitions, affidavits, and court orders.
- Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements between parties to resolve disputes amicably.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and developments.
- Work closely with other legal professionals, including barristers, paralegals, and legal assistants.
- Ensure all legal activities comply with current laws and regulations.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and case details.
- Stay updated on changes in family law and participate in professional development opportunities.
Experience
- Must be a qualified solicitor with a valid practicing certificate.
- Extensive experience in family law.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
