Duties

  • Meet with clients to discuss their legal needs and provide advice on family law matters.
  • Handle a caseload of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and financial settlements.
  • Conduct thorough research on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents to support case preparation.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents such as petitions, affidavits, and court orders.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements between parties to resolve disputes amicably.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and developments.
  • Work closely with other legal professionals, including barristers, paralegals, and legal assistants.
  • Ensure all legal activities comply with current laws and regulations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client information and case details.
  • Stay updated on changes in family law and participate in professional development opportunities.

Experience

  • Must be a qualified solicitor with a valid practicing certificate.
  • Extensive experience in family law.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
