For over 60 years, Reed’s engineering and manufacturing specialists have been recruiting professionals like you for permanent, temporary and contract positions.We are currently working with an organisation in Essex who are looking to hire a Senior Quality Engineer.

Role Overview: As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will ensure compliance with all relevant standards, support both current and new production, and drive improvements in Quality, Cost, and Delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Customer Complaint Resolution: Manage complaint resolution, including communication, root cause analysis (8D), and corrective actions.
  • Audit: Conduct internal audits (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP), support external audits, and manage non-conformance reports.
  • Workshop Support: Lead MRB activities, interpret drawings/standards, and maintain route cards and documentation.
  • Supplier Quality: Conduct supplier audits, manage complaints, and update the Approved Supplier List.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Oversee quality aspects of NPI, including PPAP, FMEA, APQP, and First Article Inspection Reports.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze data, select improvement activities, and apply tools like Lean Six Sigma.
  • Quality Management System (QMS): Support the management and update of the QMS.
  • Training: Provide training to colleagues and customers.
  • Business Systems: Support the implementation and use of company systems (e.g., CC database, Factory Master).
  • People Management: Train, motivate, and support the team, and lead in the Head of Quality’s absence.
