Assistant Engineering Manager's Job Purpose:

The Assistant Engineering Manager is responsible for advancing component repair and overhaul capabilities, ensuring technical facilities and capabilities support current commitments and new customer requirements. The role requires innovation, multitasking, and the ability to work under pressure.

Main Responsibilities and Duties for the Assistant Engineering Manager:

  • Multi-Discipline Coordination: Work across various trades to ensure the smooth completion of production tasks.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance for new repair processes and resolve existing production difficulties.
  • Best Practices Implementation: Ensure best practices are implemented across MRO repair facilities.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks within your capabilities as requested by the company.

Required Skills and Experience for the Assistant Engineering Manager:

  • Engineering Experience: Several years of hands-on engineering experience within an aerospace repair facility.
  • Component Repair Approvals: Hold appropriate component repair approvals.
  • Project Management: Experience in project management with strong communication, teamwork, self-initiative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Quality Assurance: Strong awareness of QA requirements within component repair.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Organisational and Communication Skills: Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Driving Licence: Full Clean UK Driving Licence
