Job Description:
As a Desktop Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the desktop support team to ensure efficient and effective resolution of technical issues and maintenance of desktop systems. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our IT infrastructure, providing top-notch technical support, and enhancing user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the desktop support team, providing guidance and support.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and conduct regular team meetings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Ensure timely response to support tickets and effective resolution of incidents.
- Manage inventory of IT assets and coordinate procurement of new equipment.
- Develop and implement desktop management policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support of systems.
- Provide training and support to end-users on various applications and tools.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
- Prepare and present reports on team performance and IT metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or similar are a plus.
