Are you a talented and passionate teacher looking for a flexible role that combines intervention support and classroom teaching? Our client, a well-established primary school in the Southend Area, is seeking a dedicated teacher to join their team from January 2025 or ASAP.

In this exciting role, you will initially provide intervention support for students in need of extra help, focusing on raising attainment and supporting individual learning needs until Easter 2025. Following the Easter break, you will transition into a class teacher role for the summer term, leading a class and taking on full teaching responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Intervention Support (Jan - Easter 2025):

    • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help in core subjects (e.g., literacy, numeracy).
    • Develop and implement tailored intervention plans to help students meet academic targets.
    • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to support their development.
    • Work closely with the classroom teacher to integrate support into regular lessons.
  • Class Teacher Role (Summer Term 2025):

    • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the curriculum.
    • Manage a classroom environment that promotes a positive and supportive learning experience.
    • Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback to encourage growth and development.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience for students.
