In this role you will get to know our metal card product lines and how we develop the product. You will use this knowledge, together with your strong organisation skills and good attention to detail to support the business.

Contract Period: Permanent - 3 month Probationary Period
Hours: 40 per week
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday 08:00am to 16:00pm or 09:00am to 17:00pm
Holiday: 26 days plus Bank Holidays
Holiday Period: June to July
Salary range: Starting at 40k with a review in 6 months to having a 10% increment

Main Purpose of Role:

  • We are looking for a Process Engineer to be responsible for the process design, operation, implementation and continuous improvement.
  • The successful candidate will be the conduit between R&D and production teams
  • The successful candidate will be able to improve industrial processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce waste and cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Develop, configure and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification of products
  • Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data
  • Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
  • Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
  • Perform process simulations
  • Manage cost and time constraints
  • Perform risk assessments
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions
  • Working with the team in the development and investigation of all our products
  • Assisting in the growth and nurturing of the core engineering team
  • Achieve agreed personal targets and assist Line Manager in achieving agreed team targets.
  • Maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work.
  • Immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organisation and/or its clients/customers to Line Manager.
  • Contribute towards the smooth running of the department.
  • Adhere to all the Company's policies and procedures.
  • Effectively interact and co-operate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicates effectively on how long each job will take to complete.
  • Support the Line Manager with analysis and reporting on the planning function performance.

Occasional responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the metal card team is working to a high level of quality and accuracy
  • Ensure that the physical and logical security of the company is strictly maintained at all times by the team.
  • Work collectively with other team members to deliver a World Class Service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • To take on any other responsibilities or tasks that is within your skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed from Senior Managers or Directors.
