Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician. You will be reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor of this highly successful healthcare company, and you will be responsible for fault finding and the inspection of endoscope equipment. Our client is seeking someone with an analytical mind who enjoys a busy work environment. Ideally you will already have a background in some type of equipment quality control ideally.

As the Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessment, Partial disassembly, repair, and function testing of a range of products to the required Incoming inspection & Fault finding of various types of endoscope and related products
  • Preparation of inspection reports to guide workshops on repair requirements
  • Final inspection, testing and packing of repaired products
  • Using PC equipment for the recording of technical information and other tasks associated with department activity (goods receipt/despatch)
  • Communicating with workshop and logistics staff
  • Ensure all work is completed to Quality Management System requirements
  • Work towards maintaining company and personal quality goals and objectives
  • Administrative duties relating to the repair process
  • Provide service report updates to team support functions
  • Developing skills and competence on additional products/services within the service department
  • Work within the guidelines of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974

The successful QC Technician will have the following related skills / experience:

  • Experience in a similar role is desirable
  • Mechanical/electronic aptitude
  • Able to follow processes/technical manuals
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify defects in workmanship
  • Analytical mind
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Ability to work with computers
  • Good manual dexterity
