I am seeking an experienced HR Consultant with a passion for employment law and a talent for problem-solving for an amazing Client of mine. This role involves providing comprehensive HR advice and solutions to SMEs, with a focus on employee relations and employment law. If you are adept at handling complex HR issues and delivering exceptional customer service, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to a dynamic team.

Day to day of the role:

  • Provide expert HR advice to clients via phone, email, video conference, or face-to-face.
  • Advise on a wide range of HR matters including absence management, misconduct, performance issues, redundancies, and TUPE transfers.
  • Draft correspondence and attend sensitive meetings with employees.
  • Support clients through employment tribunal processes, including case preparation.
  • Ensure clients have effective contracts of employment and up-to-date employee handbooks.
  • Utilise our unique HR Portals to manage client HR administration and communication.
  • Work closely with the team to achieve individual and collective targets, building strong relationships with colleagues and clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years in an advisory role, focusing on employment law and employee relations.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly.
  • Ability to quickly build trust and credibility with clients.
  • Strong IT skills, proficient in MS Office and experience with CRM and HR systems is desirable.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, willing to ‘muck in’ and adapt to change.
  • A driving licence and use of your own vehicle for client visits and external meetings.
