Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Compliance Officer to join their team in Southend-on-Sea.

  • Location: Southend-on-Sea
  • Hours: 39 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the organisation's management systems, serving as the primary resource for certification and regulatory body approvals, auditing, and inspections. They will report on the performance of the management system to the Group Compliance Manager.

 

Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain the organisation's management systems
  • Identify and communicate applicable compliance requirements to the business
  • Provide assurance of functional audit compliance to business management system processes
  • Generate performance metrics reports and manage corrective actions
  • Conduct management system audits and document findings
  • Perform risk assessment activities as required by the business
  • Establish and maintain an effective departmental structure for compliance activities
  • Collaborate with the HR Team on employee performance and relations processes
  • Ensure staff are informed about organisational performance and future plans
  • Lead by example in adhering to all applicable laws, standards, and policies

  • Proven experience in compliance and management systems

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in risk assessment and audit processes
  • Attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement
