The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role will involve teaching Maths to students with SEMH needs, delivering engaging lessons that cater to the unique learning styles and challenges of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons that meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH.
  • Differentiate teaching methods and materials to ensure all students can access the curriculum.
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans (ILPs) for students, focusing on both academic and personal progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting social and emotional development.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback on students' progress and attainment, adapting strategies where necessary.
  • Work closely with other staff, including teaching assistants, to support students' learning and behaviour.
  • Actively contribute to the safeguarding and well-being of students, ensuring their safety and welfare at all times.

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching Maths.
  • Experience working with students who have SEMH needs or similar educational challenges.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to teaching, with the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create a calm, structured, and supportive environment.
  • A passion for helping students achieve their best, both academically and socially.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and improving outcomes for students.
