An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate RE Teacher to join a thriving all girls Catholic secondary school in Southend. This long-term supply position offers the possibility of becoming a permanent member of staff. We are looking for an inspiring and dedicated individual who can teach Religious Education across KS3, KS4, and possibly KS5, supporting our students in both their faith journey and academic development.
At our school in Southend, the Religious Education curriculum is designed to enable students to deepen their faith while acquiring the knowledge necessary for academic progress. We provide a supportive environment where students are encouraged to explore values and virtues that align with the Catholic ethos of the school. As an RE Teacher, you will be integral in nurturing students' spiritual and moral growth, as well as delivering high-quality lessons that meet academic standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Religious Education across KS3, KS4, and possibly KS5
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the school's Catholic ethos
- Support students in developing both academically and spiritually
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes respect, inclusivity, and open discussion
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive learning atmosphere
Requirements:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Religious Education in a secondary school setting
- A strong understanding of the Catholic faith and values
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A commitment to supporting the spiritual and academic development of students in
