The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join our vibrant school in Southend-on-Sea. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual to inspire students in developing their physical education skills and promote a healthy, active lifestyle. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Physical Education across Key Stages 3(TLR available)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality PE lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
  • Encourage students to participate in a variety of sports and physical activities, fostering teamwork and personal development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and setting goals for improvement.
  • Organise and oversee extra-curricular sports clubs and school teams, including participation in local and regional competitions.
  • Work collaboratively with the PE department to enhance the curriculum and promote healthy lifestyles

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong subject knowledge in physical education and experience teaching at secondary level.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to develop their physical abilities and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to promoting the health, safety, and well-being of all students.
