Are you passionate about Religious Education and inspiring young minds? Our Catholic School, located in Southend, is seeking a dedicated Teacher of RE to join our team and help shape the spiritual and academic development of our students.

The Role: We are looking for a passionate and skilled Teacher of RE to deliver our engaging and well-structured curriculum across KS3, KS4, and KS5. You will play a pivotal role in shaping students' understanding of faith, life, and culture, while helping them develop critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and the ability to reflect spiritually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Religious Education to students in KS3, KS4, and KS5, following our coherent and developmental curriculum.

  • Equip students with the skills to confidently express their ideas with clarity and creativity, preparing them for the demands of further study in Religious Education.
  • Support the ethos of the school by exploring values and virtues that align with our Catholic tradition.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified Teacher of RE with a passion for the subject and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Roman Catholic teachings and the wider context of religious education.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to helping students develop their faith, academic understanding, and critical thinking skills.
  • An ability to engage students through a variety of teaching methods, using resources such as scripture, artefacts, and our School Chapel.
