A School in Ipswich is seeking a dedicated and motivated Behaviour Support Assistant to join their supportive and dynamic team. As a Behaviour support assistant, you will play a key role in helping students manage their behaviour and emotional well-being, guiding them to develop positive attitudes toward learning and school life.

Key Responsibilities:

-        Provide 1:1 and group support to students who are experiencing behavioural challenges.

-        Develop and implement tailored behaviour management plans to help students improve their social, emotional, and behavioural skills.

-        Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and parents to identify the underlying causes of behavioural issues and create effective strategies for intervention.

-        Support students in building positive relationships with peers and staff, promoting a safe and inclusive school environment.

-        Monitor and track student progress, providing regular updates to staff and parents.

-        Promote the school’s values and a positive learning environment, reinforcing good behaviour and academic engagement.

-        Inspire the students to reach their full potential.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

-            Experience working with children or young people, ideally those with behavioural or emotional needs.

-            A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques, with the ability to apply them effectively.

-            A passion for supporting children with Behavioural needs and helping them succeed.

-            Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

-            Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.

-            GCSE's grade C (pass) or above
