We are currently recruiting for a PLMD LSA (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities Learning Support Assistant) to join our secondary schools in Southend-on-Sea. The PLMD LSA will play a vital role in supporting students with profound and multiple learning disabilities, helping them engage with their learning and personal development in a full-time capacity. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children with complex needs.

As a PLMD LSA, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing personalized support to students with PLMD to meet their educational and developmental needs.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering tailored lesson plans and supporting the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Offering personal care support where needed, ensuring students’ comfort and well-being.
  • Promoting communication, social interaction, and participation in school activities.
  • Collaborating with the wider SEN team to create a positive, inclusive environment for all students.

The ideal PLMD LSA candidate will have experience working with children with complex needs, a calm and caring demeanor, and a proactive approach to helping students overcome their challenges.
