Specialist Project Worker - SouthendSalary: £28,845-31,439Hours: 35 hours per week excluding breaks. You will be expected to work a flexible shift system that will involve working hours between Monday to FridayA DBS check is required for this post as the post holder will be directly working with adults at risk.JOB PURPOSEWorking in a psychologically informed way, to provide housing advocacy, accommodation and tenancy support solutions for clients based in temporary accommodation in Southend. To ensure that clients are linked in with specialist services for their drug, alcohol support needs and their physical and mental health.

MAIN TASKS

  • Assess clients' housing, support needs, and risks, then provide tailored housing advice, risk assessments, accommodation referrals, and resettlement support.
  • Use knowledge of tenancy rights, support services, benefits, employment, and independent living skills to empower clients and provide tenancy sustainment solutions.
  • Collaborate with local authorities, accommodation providers, and landlords to ensure seamless client support.
