Are you a candidate who has previously worked within the housing services sector and looking for a new & exciting opportunity within Tenancy & Support as a Team Leader. We are working hand in hand with our client based in Southend on Sea, Essex, sourcing a candidate who can 'hit the ground running’

As a Team Leader in one of the two new area tenancy and support teams you will assist the Tenancy and Support Services Manager to provide operation leadership and guide the team to deliver an excellent, customer focused housing management & support services for residents.

This opportunity is offering an immediate start with a salary of £38,223 per year. Initially this is a 12 month fixed term contract.

The Tenancy and Support Services Team Leader will work alongside their manager to provide guidance and direction to staff. The Teams will deliver services effectively through linking in with external teams/agencies, particularly the Police, Southend Borough Council Teams such as Adult Social Care and Children’s Services. The teams will provide individual support and assistance as needed for tenants across all properties managed by the client (including sheltered, hotels and general needs).

Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who has comprehensive understanding of

  • local authority/ social housing sector
  • Experience of working in social housing tenancy management or support services
  • Up to date working knowledge of housing law/welfare benefits and best practice within tenancy management and/or social care
  • Experience of supervising, developing & motivating staff
  • Experience of setting and monitoring performance targets

Due to the nature of this opportunity a full, clean driving licence is essential together with daily use of a car with business user insurance or able to get around the borough. Ability to attend evening & weekend meetings and be able to commit to the occasional early/late meeting schedule.
