Join my client as an Engagement and Family Finding Officer, where you will take the lead in their foster carer acquisition programmes and strategy. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic and self-driven individual, passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of children and young people needing foster care.
Day-to-day of the role:
•   Lead FWF’s foster carer acquisition projects both locally, regionally, and nationally.•   Develop and maintain relationships within local communities to set up acquisition and information events.•   Engage in speaking engagements within community groups, including churches and mosques, to highlight the importance of foster care.•   Coordinate with the team to ensure cohesive acquisition efforts and maintain cooperative relationships with local authorities.•   Follow up on all foster care enquiries promptly and arrange home visits for prospective foster carers.•   Represent the organisation at local events, speaking engagements, and meetings with prospective foster carers.•   Participate in continuing education opportunities, including internal training, professional seminars, workshops, and conferences related to foster carer acquisition.•   Ensure all acquisition practices and documentation comply with the agency’s policies and procedures.Required Skills & Qualifications:•   Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma, preferably in Sales and Marketing, Public Relations, Business Management, or a related field.•   Experience working with children and young people in alternative services, including social care environments, social work, counselling, or other human services related fields.•   Experience in public speaking and acquisition is preferred.•   Full UK Driver’s License.
