Southend Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Fostering Social Worker to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work with foster carers and children in need, providing them with the support and guidance they require.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, assess, and approve potential foster carers.
- Provide ongoing support and supervision to foster carers.
- Match children with appropriate foster placements.
- Conduct regular reviews of foster placements.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals involved in the care of children and young people.
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work qualification (BA or MA)
- Experience working with children and families
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children
