Job Responsibilities
- Provide intensive 'End to End' support for individuals who are rough sleeping with complex needs.
- Advocate and enable access to appropriate services, including housing, by collaborating with existing delivery structures and local networks.
- Work as an outreach worker to assist individuals facing complex needs such as housing issues, substance misuse, offending behaviour, mental health, and physical health challenges.
- Facilitate one-to-one and group interventions to help clients address problematic alcohol and drug use.
- Support individuals in the community to foster positive lifestyle changes that aid in their recovery.
- Build resilience and confidence in clients, equipping them with personal and social assets to meet their aspirations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in outreach work or support services for individuals with complex needs.
- Strong understanding of issues related to homelessness, substance misuse, mental health, and offending behaviour.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Empathy and a non-judgmental attitude towards individuals facing challenges.
- Relevant qualifications in social work, psychology, or a related field are desirable.
- Knowledge of local services and resources available for individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Proficiency in record-keeping and reporting, with attention to detail.
