About the Role
Academics are working with a fantastic school in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, to find an exceptional SEN Teacher for a long-term position starting in January 2025. This school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for students with a range of Special Educational Needs, from mild to complex. The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an inspiring, motivated, and innovative teacher with a passion for supporting students with SEN/SEMH. You will be dedicated to ensuring that all students achieve their full potential, both academically and personally, through high-quality teaching, pastoral care, and curriculum development. Previous experience working with students with SEND is essential, and a commitment to creating an inclusive, empowering environment is key.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching to students across KS2, with a focus on SEN/SEMH needs.
- Develop and implement individualised learning plans in collaboration with colleagues and allied health professionals.
- Ensure safeguarding and promote the welfare of all students.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support the curriculum and meet the needs of students.
- Work alongside a team of professionals to develop curriculum excellence and provide a broad range of life-changing experiences for students.
- Encourage the development of speech, language, and communication skills across the school.

- Experience in teaching students with SEND at the primary level, particularly in KS2.
