Our client, a Specialist Teaching/Training Service, is expanding its team of highly skilled SEND professionals. Their goal is to provide outstanding support to children and young people with diverse SEND needs, working closely with schools in the local area to foster inclusive learning environments and enhance outcomes for all students.
They are currently seeking Teachers who are confident, motivated and hands-on, to collaborate with school leaders and their colleagues to enhance SEND provision.
The ideal candidate will have strong teaching experience and be able to implement inclusive practice from Primary, Secondary or Special School settings
Successful candidates will work across a broad age range, and support and training is provided for this transition.
Successful candidates will be given a thorough induction and shadowing programme and our client is committed to continuous professional development and offers regular opportunities for SEND training and joint working.
We are specifically looking for professionals in the following areas:
- SEMH Specialist Teachers with significant experience supporting students who have faced trauma, ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences), attachment difficulties, and behavioural challenges. The team uses a restorative approach and is looking for passionate individuals with a focus on SEMH.
- Cognition and Learning Specialists-this role is ideal for experienced SENCOs, SpLD-trained teachers, or those passionate about making literacy and language more accessible in both primary and secondary settings.
- Autism Spectrum (AS) Specialists to join a dynamic and energetic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert support to students with SEND, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Complex Needs, Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN), Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD/Dyslexia), and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Work closely with school leaders, teachers, and external partners to identify and address the specific needs of SEND students, promoting inclusive practices and improving student outcomes.
- Continuously evaluate and refine early intervention strategies, ensuring best practices in SEND education are followed.
- Ensure compliance with SEND-related policies, safeguarding regulations, and inclusion standards.
- Deliver training and model effective SEND practices to schools, settings, and external agencies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven track record of exemplary teaching and implementing inclusive practices in Primary, Secondary, or Special Education settings.
- A thorough knowledge of SEND
- Comprehensive understanding of the National Curriculum, current SEND curriculum, and emerging trends in SEND education.
- Familiarity with statutory and non-statutory frameworks, assessment criteria, and reporting requirements.
- Proven ability to raise standards and improve student outcomes in both mainstream and specialist environments.
- Experience in collaborating with other practitioners to create practical strategies for supporting students with SEND.
