My client, a highly regarded planning consultancy, is seeking a Graduate Town Planner to join their rural planning team based in Southend-on-Sea. This exciting opportunity is perfect for recent graduates with a keen interest in rural planning. Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation of planning applications and reports for rural projects.
- Support senior planners in the management of rural development projects.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to deliver planning solutions.
- Conduct research and assessments to inform planning decisions.
- Stay updated on planning policies and regulations affecting rural areas.
- Qualifications: A degree accredited by the RTPI or an undergraduate degree, ideally in geography, with a strong interest in rural planning. Strong academic background from the start.
- Experience: Some experience in planning, ideally with a focus on rural areas or projects, is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Salary Range: £24,000 - £28,000, depending on experience.
- RTPI Accreditation: The company will fund a part-time RTPI accredited master's degree for successful candidates, allowing you to gain your professional qualification while working.
