My client, a highly regarded planning consultancy, is seeking a Graduate Town Planner to join their rural planning team based in Southend-on-Sea. This exciting opportunity is perfect for recent graduates with a keen interest in rural planning. Successful candidates will benefit from the company's support in funding a part-time RTPI accredited master's degree to help further your career and achieve professional accreditation alongside your role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of planning applications and reports for rural projects.
  • Support senior planners in the management of rural development projects.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to deliver planning solutions.
  • Conduct research and assessments to inform planning decisions.
  • Stay updated on planning policies and regulations affecting rural areas.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualifications: A degree accredited by the RTPI or an undergraduate degree, ideally in geography, with a strong interest in rural planning. Strong academic background from the start.
  • Experience: Some experience in planning, ideally with a focus on rural areas or projects, is highly desirable.
