Your Role:
As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical and software systems for special-purpose machinery. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to create efficient, reliable, and safety-compliant control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, program, test, and debug PLC and motion control systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
- Design and optimize electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panels.
- Create HMI interfaces and robotic automation programs for material handling.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting throughout the machine lifecycle.
- Contribute to standards development and best practices for control systems.
- Travel domestically and internationally for installation, commissioning, and support.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in special-purpose machinery, automation, or control systems engineering.
- Proficiency in Ladder Logic, Structured Text (ST/SCL), and PLC programming.
- Strong ability to read, design, and edit electrical schematics.
- Experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley safety control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Bonus Skills:
- HMI design experience (FactoryTalk View Studio, WinCC).
- Knowledge of SINUMERIK, Simotion Scout, AutoCAD Electrical, or ePLAN.
- Familiarity with robotic programming and integration.
