The Partnerships Operations Manager role is based within the Sales Operations team. It is a dynamic role encompassing both our existing core market and new markets as they emerge. 

The role involves working closely with Partnerships (National Account Managers and Strategic Partnerships) and our internal teams, such as marketing, supporting, and servicing a portfolio of regulated and non-regulated partnerships. The role includes working closely with the partnerships Sales team to investigate new markets, sign up new accounts and deliver and deploy various marketing campaigns and enhancing their long-term value. 

This is a hybrid role with time spent working remotely or from the office with occasional travel to roadshows, events and partners offices as required. 

This is a role that promotes transparency and knowledge sharing and to actively support others to embrace our quality principals. 

There will be additional opportunities to enhance and develop existing skills within the role and an open-minded approach to learning new skills is essential. 

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:  

  • Campaign management: You will launch new client campaigns and work with our marketing team to implement on-going email campaigns and direct mail messaging. 

  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g. with Business Development, Marketing, Digital, Proposition and Customer Services as well as other key personnel) to identify opportunities for lead optimisation and product/process improvements. 

  • Oversee Governance ensuring Operational standards are maintained across the Sales team 

  • Co-ordinate and assist in the sign up, onboarding of and technical implementation of new clients.  

  • Assisting the Senior Directors and partnerships managers during contract/tender negotiations including commercial terms. 

  • Producing and own the process for NDAs and contracts for new partners, where needed working with legal to updated and amend.  Ensure agencies and payment routes are set up appropriately for new partners. 

  • Relationship management: Manage client relationships in order to retain clients and enhance client profitability, whilst demonstrating a thorough understanding and responsiveness to client priorities and needs, empathising with and responding to client needs efficiently and effectively. 

  • Liaising with the API and integrations manager on partner queries. 

  • Conduct training/partner overview sessions with clients where appropriate and the partnerships managers are on holiday & Managing regular contact and assigned calls with clients where necessary 

  • Reporting and analysis: Work with the MI team to ensure they produce high-level and detailed data analysis and create summary and detailed reports and presentations to support the business/partners decision process. 

  • Preparing and presenting at quarterly client/team review meetings. 

  • Helping to define the new client target strategy through strong research. 

  • Working with marketing to build marketing collateral to target those new markets and drive sales. 

  • Work with marketing and digital to produce ideas and successfully launch and maintain new advertising campaigns to new and existing clients using internal systems and third-party tools.  

 

Skills & Experience required: 

  • Strong operational and sales focus with a competitive drive to succeed combined with excellent telephone/email skills. 

  • Self-starter with high energy with the ability to work both individually and in a team environment to achieve an agreed business plan. 

  • Demonstrate ability to build professional and influential customer relationships and a strong team player internally. 

  • Commercial and business Awareness. 

  • Strong understanding of the UK insurance industry. 

  • Great at building relationships. 

  • Excellent organisation and planning skills. 

  • Good word, excel and PowerPoint skills (training can be provided for intermediate levels). 

  • Good understanding of PSL agency and systems processes. 

  • Understanding of PSL’s commercial drivers (advantageous). 

  • Have a strong understanding of Paymentshield Atlanta Retail Proposition and our servicing capability to maximise every Sales Opportunity (advantageous).  

  • Proven knowledge of regulation operating in the marketplace (advantageous).  

  • Proven understanding of the fintech market, embedded insurance and emerging technology in the insurance world (advantageous).
