Our client is one of the UK’s leading distributors supplying food, drink and catering supply products to customers in all different industries. They are looking for a Credit Controller to join their team liaising with both internal and external customers to resolve day to day queries, following company procedure to minimise bad debt.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Monitor customer credit limits and spend and obtain credit reports when required
  • Collecting overdue debt and ensuring customer spend is within the credit limits
  • Produce reports for overdue accounts to make collection calls, send letters and suspend deliveries.
  • Follow company procedures for high-risk customers, change of ownership, closure of a business, Liquidation/ administration.

Skills & Experience

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Confident and motivated
